It doesn't matter whether you are a first time visitor to Florida, or a regular, you will always find something new and exciting to do in the 'Sunshine State'. Apart from the miles of soft sandy beaches that are less than a 1-hour drive from our villa (Cocoa Beach and Daytona to the East and Tampa Bay and Clearwater to the West), Orlando itself is the Theme Park capital of the world.
Orlando is best known for its major theme parks; Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot; Universal's Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and Seaworld's famous aquatic adventure park. Orlando also has the famous International Drive (I-Drive) which offers a host of shopping and eating experiences, as well as the Wet'n Wild water park for when you fancy cooling off a bit. Within a few minutes drive of Glenbrook, you can be in Kissimmee, with its 15-miles of shops, restaurants and family-fun attractions along the 192. The Old Town at Kissimmee features a 1950's boulevard with over 75 specialty shops, bars and restaurants. If you are feeling brave, you could try the 360-foot high Human slingshot! The Old Town regularly features hot-rod and custom car events, so there is always plenty to do, with attractions to suit all of the family. If space & science is your thing, then take the time to visit the Kennedy Space Center. To the South you also have the swamps of the Everglades National Park, where you can enjoy the thrill of an airboat ride and go alligator spotting. Or why not consider a drive down to Miami, with it's fabulous beaches, wild night-life and fabulous art-deco architecture.
